Steiner Leisure to Operate New Spas At Two Adaaran Resorts in Maldives
Maldives Promotion House – Steiner Leisure Limited has just announced that its spa brand Chavana Spa has entered into two new agreements to operate spa facilities at the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu Resort and the Adaaran Club Rannalhi Resort in the Maldives, operated by Aitken Spence Hotels. Steiner Leisure also recently signed an agreement to operate a spa facility at the Chaaya Lagoon Hakura Huraa located in Memmu Atoll, south of the Maldives
The spas are scheduled to commence operation in November 2011. The term of each of the agreements is seven years. In connection with the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu Resort agreement, Steiner Leisure Limited will invest a total of up to USD 225,000 toward the development and operation of the spa. In connection with the Adaaran Club Rannalhi Resort agreement, Steiner Leisure Limited will invest a total of up to USD 100,000 toward the development and operation of the spa.
Chavana Spa’s signature treatments will be featured at both resorts, with spa facilities including single and couples’ treatment rooms, steam and sauna facilities and manicure and pedicure areas.
Adaaran Select Meedhupparu is located in Raa Atoll, 136 kilometres and 45 minutes by sea plane to the north of Malé, the capital of Maldives, and offers a combination of 215 beach and water villas. Adaaran Club Rannalhi is located 34 kilometres and 45 minutes by speedboat from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport and offers 130 rooms and water bungalows. Each location is set against turquoise seas, immaculate white sand beaches and lush palm trees.

Chavana Spa offers a streamlined treatment menu that welcomes all to experience the freshness and energy of Balinese spa spirit. The Chavana concept is aimed at four and five star hotels and resorts and is intended to allow guests to enjoy a quality spa experience at a reasonable price.
Steiner Leisure Limited is a worldwide provider of spa services. The Company’s operations include shipboard and land-based spas and salons. They provide our services on 155 cruise ships and at 69 land-based spas. Their land-based spas include resort spas, urban hotel spas and day spas and are operated under Elemis, Mandara, Chavana, Bliss and Remede brands.
In addition, a total of 28 resort and hotel spas are operated under their brands by third parties pursuant to license agreements with the Company.
