Hurawalhi named Maldives’ leading all-inclusive resort
Hurawalhi Maldives has been named the leading all-inclusive resort in Maldives.
The award was presented at the Maldives Travel Awards 2018 gala held at Paradise Island Resort on December 27.
Officially inaugurated in January 2016, the five-star Hurawalhi resort is accessible by a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight from the main airport, and offers 90 villas, including 60 Ocean Villas and 30 Beach Villas, for grown-ups who are seeking luxury and innovation. The villas are stylishly and beautifully conceived featuring soothing décor, sumptuous linens on king size beds, bleached wooden floors, and private terraces with panoramic views.
There is an ocean of delights to take in at Hurawalhi Maldives: dining at 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, snuggling up with your darling under a blanket or sparkling stars on the iconic Dream Island sandbank, falling in love with the plethora of marine life on the island’s doorstep – in fact, one visit to the resort is hardly enough to experience it all.
Hurawalhi’s luxury All-Inclusive Plus stands head and shoulders above many other five-star resorts’ packages for its wide array of benefits and the quality thereof. In addition to mouth-watering buffet fares at Canneli restaurant, guests can revel in a selection of 50 cocktails and 60 wines, enjoy freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies and house-branded bottled water at no extra cost.
The resort is renowned for its epic culinary indulgences, which is also reflected in the generous all-inclusive plan: a three-course lunch and a three-course dinner in the Asian-inspired Kashibo restaurant are included, with teppanyaki dinner, Chef’s Table and lunch at 5.8 Undersea Restaurant available at an exclusive supplement.
What’s more, allowing guests to just connect with themselves, their loved ones and nature with zero hassle are further perks: the inclusions of the minibar and Taittinger Champagne on arrival, a sunset dolphin cruise, snorkelling equipment, group yoga sessions, use of kayaks and windsurfs, workout and more.
The Maldives Travel Awards gala returned this year to Paradise Island Resort, which played host to the first ever gala of the premier travel event of Maldives in 2012.
The gala saw more than 200 travel industry professionals come together to celebrate the winners in 25 categories of the Gala Edition, which is exclusive for the resorts, airlines and liveaboards operating in Maldives.
Initiated in 2012 by MATATO, Maldives Travel Awards celebrate and honour the best tourism and hospitality products in the Maldives, while fostering relationships with suppliers and local travel agents. From 20 categories in 2012, the awards have now expanded into three editions totalling 55 categories.
Like 2017, MATATO hosted three editions in 2018: the People’s Edition, which recognises successful pioneers and long serving individuals in the tourism industry, a Guesthouse Edition, which celebrates the outstanding performance of the up and coming guesthouse sector, and the Grand Gala, which is exclusive for winners in the categories for resorts, airlines and liveaboards.
