MATI hosts digital marketing workshop

Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) has hosted a digital marketing workshop for the hospitality industry.

Organised in collaboration with Happy Marketer and Dhiraagu, the one-day “Advanced Digital Marketing Workshop” took place at Champa Central Hotel in capital Male on September 1.

Close to 70 participants from various resorts, travel agencies and other hospitality related organisations participated in the workshop.

The workshop delivered information and insights related to effective modern digital marketing strategies as well as upcoming digital marketing trends and google analytics.

The training agency for the eight-hour workshop was Singapore-based marketing agency, Happy Marketer. This award-winning, data-driven digital consulting firm is the only digital firm in the region with Google Partnerships across Analytics, Adwords, DoubleClick, Cloud and Training.

“It should be noted that MATI plans to host similar training workshops in the future addressing different skills and competency areas,” a statement issued by MATI read.

As a non-profit established since the introduction of tourism in Maldives, MATI has been at the forefront of almost all travel and tourism related activities and issues in the Maldives for the past three decades. The association coordinates with government and liaise with organisations locally and internationally to solidify member services and operations in the tourism sector.
