Furaveri Maldives to host PADI Member Forum

Furaveri Maldives has announced plans to host a PADI Member Forum.

This one-of-a-kind venture by PADI, in association with Dive Club and Furaveri Maldives, will be held from September 15-18. The event aim to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and free of debris in order to maintain and promote environmental health.

Kicking off on September 15 with a networking evening at Furaveri Maldives, the event will witness several dives on each day. All interested participants can take part in these dives.

Fun and educational activities have been lined up during this four-day event, including a visit to a local island to conduct environmental and conservation talks for students, as well as beach and island clean-ups.

The forum will also see certified divers collecting underwater debris and posting their findings to PADI’s Project AWARE. There will also be a theory class prior to the clean-up dive, following which they will be provided with a certificate of completion.

The last day of the forum will be dedicated for Project AWARE, an environmental ethic initiative by PADI. A marine-themed presentation will be given to all participants, including divers and non-divers, as well as children. The forum will wrap up with a networking evening.
