Cocoon Maldives kicks off gourmet dining series with renowned Italian Chef Simone Zambon
Cocoon Maldives has kick started a new series of gourmet dining experiences, inviting renowned Italian Chef Simone Zambon to the island resort.
From February 5-13, the Italian chef, who serves as the Executive Chef at the Ristorante MOMA l’ospite e il gusto in the Italian town of Sesto Calende, prepared a wide array of Italian and international cuisine in order to provide a whole new culinary experience for the guests.
According to Cocoon, similar events would be held throughout the year. Celebrity chefs from around the world will be invited to participate in this series, headed by Executive Chef Giovanni De Ambrosis, it said.
Cocoon Maldives, located in Ookolhufinolhu Island in the northern Lhaviyani atoll, blends the best of Italian design with the Maldives’ stunning natural beauty. The five-star resort, which officially opened in March, houses 150 villas that are exclusively designed by Lago, one of Italy’s finest design firms.
The resort, accessible by a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport, features three restaurants and two bars offering a variety of cuisines from around the world and romantic dining experiences.
The Cube Spa at Cocoon Maldives, meanwhile, is located in the heart of the island to ensure maximum privacy and intimacy, and offers variety of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments with qualified masseurs from Bali.
