LAM to conduct coastal navigation course for liveaboards

Liveaboard Association of Maldives (LAM) has opened the opportunity for its members to participate in a coastal navigation course.

In an announcement, LAM said the course would be held in affiliation with Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Coast Guard Training School, located in the island of Maafilaafushi in the northern Lhaviyani atoll. The free course would take place from June 18 to 28, it added.

According to the association, 30 slots are available for the course, which will cover a wide range of topics, including maritime regulation, navigation, safety and security, and communication equipments. Interested members are requested to email their details and contact information to sg@liveaboardassociation.mv by June 14.

Founded in 2007, LAM represents liveaboards operating in the Maldives and helps them expand their businesses through lobbying and promotional efforts.
