Soneva Fushi named Maldives best hotel

Soneva Fushi has bagged a spot in the Gold List compiled by Condé Nast Traveler China as the Best Hotel in the Maldives.

The Gold List compiled by award-winning US-based luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler’s Chinese edition honours resorts and hotels around the world most favoured by Chinese travellers. Winners of the Gold List 2017 were announced last week.

Despite a recent drop, China remains the number one source market for the Maldives’ tourism industry. In 2016, the Maldives welcomed 324,326 visitors from China which represented 25.2 percent of total tourist arrivals during the year.

Established in 1995, Soneva Fushi is the original Soneva. The No News, No Shoes blueprint for all desert island barefoot luxury hideaways is located within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. Soneva Fushi inspires the imagination with 57 spacious beachfront villas, ranging in size from one to nine bedrooms, hidden amongst dense foliage.
