Maldivian brings Twin Otter aircrafts to start seaplane flights
Maldives.net.mv – Maldivian Seaplane’s first DH-6 Twin Otter Aircraft has arrived at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport on Thursday, 17th April. The aircraft started its seven day ferry trip from Calgary on 10th April.
Maldivian is currently making floating jetties and other ground arrangements to start flights in May.
Maldivian is the national flag carrier of Maldives and currently flies to India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the international route. They also fly to eight domestic airports within Maldives.
Currently Trans Maldivian Airways is the only operator of seaplanes. Villa Air’s Flyme is also making arrangements to start seaplane operations.
